14 Sep PDS Group asked “R U OK?”
As an industry, construction is one of the largest employers in the country. It is PDS Group’s ongoing commitment to support and promote acceptance to ask each other R U OK?, today and every day.
Sydney & Melbourne | Events
PDS Care, PDS Group’s employee-driven social responsibility program, is committed to supporting R U OK? Day nationally – this year we hosted two major events in Sydney and Melbourne.
In Sydney we partnered with Aqua Dining, providing the perfect backdrop for such a special day. Thank you Kieran from Mates in Construction for sharing your story and Jack Levi for being a fantastic Master of Ceremonies.
In Melbourne, we partnered with Sunda _, who created an outstanding menu by Chef Khanh, wines donated by Garagiste and the perfect atmosphere for us to support, discuss and reflect on R U Ok? Day. Our insightful and passionate guest speaker was Rae Bonney, an Integrated Wellbeing Specialist/Speaker/Radio Presenter & Men/Boy’s Issues Advocate, Suicide Prevention.

The staff in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth also spent time together discussing the pressures of our industry and how important it is to ask R U OK?
We really need to listen, share experiences and understand that there are times of immense pressure on us all – it is the genuine support and care we give our colleagues, friends and family that can make a difference and prevent suicide.
