20 6月 State Update | Kevin Miksch, Director – NSW
2018 is off to a flying start in the Sydney office as we continue to deliver new and existing projects for our client partners across a range of sectors. With the NSW market showing no signs of slowing down, we continue to be part of some of the most interesting and unique projects in the aged care and seniors living, retail, hotel and mixed use spaces in the state. Our Director, Kevin Miksch says, “The macro indicators we see for continued success in the NSW economy, including population and infrastructure growth, capital inflows from new regions and entrants and technological innovation, are also evident in our interactions within the industry on the ground. There we see strong confidence despite some gloom and doom popular press of late. We are extremely proud of and confident in our growing position in the NSW market, including our performance on large, landmark projects for established developers and new entrants alike.”
Our Sydney office was established in 2015 with a small senior delivery team who worked hard to deliver substantial projects and to promote the PDS Group brand. Today we are proud to say we have grown to a delivery team of 13 hardworking and dedicated individuals who each bring a unique background, set of skills and personality to the business and our work culture.

PDS Group is thrilled to be partnering with Top Spring Australia for the development and project management of their flagship development in Australia situated in the St. Leonards South Precinct approximately 5km north of Sydney CBD. This statement development is in the planning stages with Lane Cove Council and will comprise a significant amount of residential apartments along with retail and commercial areas, communal spaces and parklands. We look forward to extending our strategic partnership with Top Spring Australia.
Over the last 8 months we have thoroughly enjoyed working closely with Cbus Property on our signature mixed use residential project, The Langston Epping. The development comprises 463 residential apartments over three residential towers, 1,700 square metres of retail and commercial space along with public and resident basement parking. The Head Contractor for the project will be announced soon before construction commences in January 2019.

Celebrations and congratulations have commenced as we confirm completion on two of our first and largest projects here in NSW: Promenade, Parramatta and Aveo Bella Vista.
Promenade, Parramatta was the first project awarded by Starryland to PDS Group in 2015 and set the foundation for a strong working relationship as we managed the delivery of 493 luxury apartments over 8 buildings, public domain works and construction of new roads. We are proud to have been part of such a landmark project and look forward to working with Starryland on their next development which will be announced to the market soon.
Aveo Bella Vista is another project that has successfully achieved Occupation Certification of 64 luxury retirement living apartments over 10 levels. We feel very fortunate to have been appointed as Project Managers on one of Australia’s largest Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) structures, working alongside a professional and dedicated team from Aveo and Strongbuild.

Lastly, we would like to officially introduce and welcome our newest additions to the PDS Group team in Sydney; Tomek Paszkiewicz as Senior Project Manager and Gracie Cabot as Assistant Project Manager. Within the first two days of commencing work with PDS Group, Gracie boarded a flight to Melbourne’s beautiful Mornington Peninsula, meeting the entire company at our first National Conference.
While Tomek’s induction was a little different he says, “It is a pleasure to join the focused and talented PDS Group team in NSW. I was welcomed with a fun day on the water at the 2018 PIF Regatta where we shared industry experiences with our colleagues. We also celebrated our 2nd placing in the catamaran race.”
